LOUD, the Brazilian team, caused a major upset in their match against GAM Esports at Worlds 2023. Not only did they secure a 2-0 victory, but they also achieved the first penta kill of the tournament.
In the first game, LOUD’s AD Carry, Route, played Kai’Sa and delivered an impressive performance with a KDA of 11/0/5. He secured a penta kill towards the end of the match when he and his teammates dove into the enemy fountain.
LOUD’s victory in the first game was almost certain as they effectively countered GAM Esports’ early aggression. They took control of the game around the 20-minute mark and dominated their opponents. In the second game, LOUD continued their dominance. Although the match was closely contested, Route and his team managed to come out on top in crucial teamfights, securing another swift victory.
With this result, LOUD advanced to the upper bracket of Group A, while GAM Esports moved to the lower bracket. LOUD’s next opponents will be PSG Talon, who also secured a 2-0 victory against Movistar R7.
