Disney Dreamlight Valley has exciting news for its players just in time for Halloween. The popular game has teased its upcoming update, featuring the beloved character Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
In a trailer released by Gameloft, the developers provided a sneak peek of the next update, as well as future updates and other thrilling content. Fans can look forward to Jack Skellington’s arrival in the game, although only his skeleton hand and iconic bow tie were shown in the teaser.
The ongoing Haunted Holiday Star Path in the game already includes items from The Nightmare Before Christmas, making Jack Skellington’s addition even more fitting for the Halloween season.
Another intriguing teaser in the trailer showcased an ice rink-like object in the Frosted Heights biome, accompanied by ice skates. This suggests that players may soon be able to skate on the rink or that the object serves another mysterious purpose yet to be revealed.
One of the most anticipated features, multiplayer mode, was also highlighted in the trailer. Players will soon be able to explore the “ValleyVerse” with their friends, as the trailer showcased four players running together. This multiplayer expansion promises an exciting new way to enjoy the game with others.
The trailer also provided more information about the first expansion pass for Disney Dreamlight Valley, titled “A Rift in Time.” This expansion pass will introduce new biomes, including Agrabah from Aladdin and a swampy waterside jungle with ancient ruins. Unlockable characters through the expansion pass include Rapunzel, Gaston, and Eve from Wall-E. Each new biome will also feature unique critters such as monkeys, snakes, and capybaras.
Players who tune in to the Disney Dreamlight Valley Showcase on November 1st will be rewarded with exclusive game assets, including a balloon arch, balloon bundles, and Disney-themed ears. The livestream will cover all the upcoming content and reveal even more surprises, such as the arrival of Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc. in 2024.
The next update is expected to go live in mid-November, following the previous “Enchanted Adventure” expansion that introduced Belle and the Beast to the valley. With Jack Skellington’s arrival just in time for the holiday season, players can look forward to a nightmare before Christmas and the exciting surprises that await them in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
