Dragami Games president Yoshimi Yasuda has announced that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will undergo a remaster with a fully revamped combat system. The decision was made to ensure the game meets the expectations of modern action game players.
In a recent post on X, formerly Twitter, Yasuda stated that the combat in RePOP will be improved to eliminate any sluggishness in chainsaw battles. The speed will be adjusted to provide a more enjoyable experience. Additionally, the input timing for cheerleading and chainsaw combo attacks will be enhanced, along with improvements to camera movement.
This announcement comes as a pleasant surprise to fans, especially after the previous news that RePOP would no longer be a remake. Despite being a remaster, Dragami Games aims to deliver a modern gaming experience.
Lollipop Chainsaw, originally released on June 12, 2012, for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, will now receive visual updates and an overhauled combat system to cater to current console action game players.
Fans expressed their delight at the news, with one emphasizing the need for new gameplay options that make the experience more rewarding and interesting.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP was announced in June 2022 and is scheduled for release in summer 2024.
