Larian Studios has released Patch No. 4 for Baldur’s Gate, bringing several upgrades to the game’s popular four-legged companion, Scratch. This patch aims to address some of the issues players may have encountered with Scratch, including a fail-safe for his ball.
Scratch, the stray dog, quickly won the hearts of players when Baldur’s Gate 3 was launched in August. However, he occasionally had some bugs that needed fixing. Patch No. 4 focuses on improving the experience with Scratch, particularly during camp interactions.
One of the key improvements is the refinement of Scratch’s fetching behavior. Now, while in camp, Scratch will fetch almost anything you throw for him. Additionally, his ball, which is used to summon him outside of camp, will be more difficult to lose. If you do misplace it, Scratch should return it to you the next time you’re in camp.
This fix will come as a relief to players, as Scratch’s ball previously blended in with other similar items in the inventory. With the same name and appearance as any other ball, it often caused anxiety when players wanted to manage their inventory.
Patch No. 4 for Baldur’s Gate 3 primarily focuses on minor quality-of-life adjustments, with fewer changes compared to previous patches. However, any enhancements to our experience with Scratch are always appreciated.
Overall, this patch ensures that Scratch, the beloved dog companion, becomes an even more enjoyable part of the game. Players can now look forward to a smoother and more fulfilling camp experience with their furry friend by their side.
