A player of Baldur’s Gate 3 recently made an astonishing discovery after spending hundreds of hours playing the game. They stumbled upon an enemy encounter in Act Two that they had completely missed in all their previous playthroughs. The encounter takes place in the Gauntlet of Shar and involves Umbral Tremors summoning servants of Shar to prevent the villain, Balthazar, from reaching the Nightsong.
Typically, players quickly dispatch the summoned enemies by destroying the portals before they can overwhelm them. However, this particular player decided to experiment and stealthily entered the encounter room without interfering. To their surprise, after a few turns of leaving the Umbral Tremors alone, a formidable Sharran NPC named the “Justiciar Crusader” appeared.
The player expressed their astonishment, stating, “I always thought Balthazar was overreacting to the Gauntlet’s defenses, but now I know he was right to be afraid. I was absolutely overwhelmed by around 25 Sharrens.”
This discovery highlights the incredible attention to detail that Larian Studios has put into Baldur’s Gate 3. With so many hidden elements and possibilities, the game offers endless ways to experience it. Larian has truly made it worthwhile for players to revisit and explore every aspect of the game, ensuring that there are always new surprises to be found.
