Excited for Diablo 4? Well, you’re in luck! Two new Diablo-themed tabletop games are on the way. Diablo: The Roleplaying Game is set to release in 2024, while Diablo: The Board Game does not have a confirmed release date yet.
Glass Cannon Unplugged, in collaboration with Blizzard Entertainment, is bringing you Diablo®: The RPG & Board Game. Immerse yourself in the Diablo® universe like never before in 2024. Stay updated by subscribing for more information.
A second Diablo board game is also in the works, but the RPG will be released first. The Diablo RPG will transport players to the beloved world of Sanctuary, with some exciting twists.
The game seems to incorporate a moral element, as players will need to navigate between the forces of Light and Darkness, balancing sin and integrity. Just like the familiar Diablo games, there will be plenty of enemies to battle, and the combat promises to be satisfying and fast-paced.
Glass Cannon Unplugged, known for their board games based on Apex Legends and Dying Light, is developing the Diablo RPG. While specific details about the gameplay are scarce, it is clear that the game will immerse players in the Diablo universe, offering an isometric perspective and a variety of champions to face the hordes of Hell in the Eternal Conflict.
Although the game will not directly follow the storyline of Diablo 4, it will draw inspiration from the wider Diablo universe. The creative team at Activision Blizzard will be collaborating with Glass Cannon Unplugged on this project. Additionally, future expansions and supplements are planned, featuring unique adventures that explore different aspects of the Diablo lore.
The game is expected to launch through a preorder system on Kickstarter.
